Subwave lets you earn directly from your audience through paid channel subscriptions. Once you connect a Stripe account and enable paid subscriptions on a channel, members can pay for access to exclusive content.
Every post you publish has an audience setting that controls who can see it. By default, every channel has two options:
When you enable paid subscriptions on a channel, a third option becomes available:
Enabling paid subscriptions doesn't change anything about your existing posts or make your channel paywalled by default. Each post has its own audience setting, and you can freely mix all three types on the same channel — some posts public, some for free subscribers, some for paid subscribers only. It's entirely up to you how you want to structure your content.
You can also convert existing public or subscribers-only posts to paid at any time.

Setting up monetization takes two steps.
💡 Tip: You only need to connect Stripe once — it applies to all your channels, not just the one you're setting up.
Subwave charges a 10% platform fee on every paid subscription. This is deducted before your payout is calculated.
On top of that, Stripe — our payment provider — charges its own processing fee. The exact rate depends on your country and is shown on your Stripe dashboard. Both fees come out before you receive your earnings.
There's no monthly fee or setup cost to use monetization on Subwave.
Stripe is Subwave's only payment provider. Whether you can accept paid subscriptions depends on whether Stripe supports payouts in your country. Stripe is currently supported in a growing list of countries and regions, with more to come — check the full list on Stripe's global availability page.
If Stripe isn't available in your country, you won't be able to enable paid subscriptions on Subwave at this time.
When you connect Stripe, you'll be asked for your business or personal address, identity details, bank account information for payouts, and contact details — including a phone number, email, and address.
Once a subscriber pays, Stripe processes the transaction and schedules a payout to your connected bank account. Your exact payout timeline is shown on your Stripe dashboard.
To view your payouts, go to Payments and click View on Stripe. From there, navigate to Balance →Transactions → Payouts to see all payments sent to your bank account.
When setting up a paid channel, you choose your own subscription price. The minimum is $1.00 and the maximum is $10,000.00 per billing period (or the equivalent in your chosen currency).
Supported currencies are USD, CAD, EUR, and GBP — with more coming soon.
You can offer monthly or yearly billing cycles. There are no free trials — every paid subscription is charged at signup.
You can toggle off Offer paid subscriptions in your channel settings at any time. Two things to know when you do:
To cancel a subscriber's paid subscription, go to My Channel and open Manage subscribers. From there, tap Cancel paid subscription — this takes effect immediately, and Stripe stops charging them right away. No partial refund is issued and if you want to refund the last invoice you’ll need to do that manually from your Stripe dashboard.
The subscriber will remain a free follower on your channel, so if you'd like to remove them entirely, tap Remove subscriber separately.
Go to Payments and click View on Stripe. This opens your Stripe dashboard, where you can see your total balance, upcoming payout (with an estimated arrival date), and a full transaction history — including the date, status, amount, fee, and net payout for each payment received.
Subwave doesn't yet show earnings or payout metrics in-app.
Subwave includes a built-in analytics dashboard for every channel. To access it, open the left sidebar menu and tap Analytics. You can filter data by 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or All time.
