I use the teleprompter feature in the Detail app so I can record talking videos without memorizing a single line.
Memorizing the text for a talking video is time you never get back. There is a simpler fix, and it lives inside the Detail app.
Open Detail and tap the teleprompter feature. Add your text, then start recording. Your script scrolls in front of you while the camera rolls, so you read instead of recall.
Your talking videos still look natural, but you don't have to waste your time memorizing the text anymore.
The usual cost of a talking video is the rehearsal: running lines until they stick, then redoing takes when they slip. With the script in front of you, that cost disappears. You write the text once, record, and move on.
The result on camera stays the same. You come across as natural, and the time you would have spent memorizing goes into making the next video.
The teleprompter is part of Detail, which you can download in the App Store. Next time you have a script and a camera, skip the memorizing and start recording.
