Your phone is already a teleprompter. The Detail app handles the script, the recording, and the edits in one place.
Blanking on camera is one of those problems that feels embarrassing but has a genuinely simple fix. Your phone is already a teleprompter — you just have to use it like one.
Write out what you want to say. It doesn't have to be a word-for-word script; bullet points work just as well. Copy that text, open the Detail app, tap the teleprompter, and paste it in. That's your setup done.
You don't need a word-for-word script. Bullet points work just as well.
When you hit record, don't try to get through everything in one take. Read one line, pause, reset, then move to the next. It feels slow in the moment, but it gives you clean, usable chunks to work with later.
If you stumble on a line, don't stop the recording and start over. Just say it again. The mistake and the retry will both be on the tape, and you'll cut the mistake out afterward.
You can fix everything later.
Once you're done recording, you don't have to move to a different tool. Detail lets you edit right there: split the clip at the bad takes, delete the parts you don't want, and keep moving. The whole process, from script to finished video, lives in one place.
That's it. Write the lines, read them one at a time, and fix the mistakes in the edit. No more freezing up on camera.
