A first look at Subwave, the new social media and podcast app from the makers of Detail.
I'm jumping into something new today. This is my first post on Subwave, and I figured I'd share what I'm seeing so far.
From what I can tell, Subwave is a new kind of social media and podcast sharing and creation app. It comes from the same folks who built Detail, which I've really enjoyed using. Detail is a solid video and audio recording and editing app for iOS, so I'm curious to see what this team does when they add a social media layer on top of their existing tools.
The platform seems to blend content creation with social sharing in an interesting way. It's not just another editing tool, it's positioned as a place where you can create podcasts and share them in a more social context. That social media component feels like the key differentiator here.
The real question is how this blend of creation and community actually works in practice.
I'm genuinely curious to see where this goes and how it evolves. First impressions are promising, but the real test will be using it over time and seeing how the community develops around it. For now, I'm exploring and figuring out what's possible here.
